We believe that every moment is a learning opportunity. Every interaction we have is communicating something..., the key is to make sure that the lessons we are teaching are truly what we want to convey. That comes by understanding how your dog is interpreting what you are trying to say to them,... and knowing what it is you want to say. Once you understand how to communicate the lesson you wish to teach, the next step is time and consistency. Many of the training lessons are really daily habits that we help to form, whether bad or good. They are either the results of consistent and focused teaching, or inconsistent and spur of the moment short cuts. We also believe in balanced teaching, positive and negative reinforcement is part of all our lives and is a tool that the Lord uses to teach us all. It is our belief that no training should be solely based on one or the other. With that understanding, we also know that by nature we tend to be more negative reinforcement orientated, so we highly encourage you to error on the side of too much positive! There is no easy way to have a great dog, great dogs are formed by understanding, patience, time and lots of love... Like any relationship you will reap what you sow...
We hope by now you have seen our love for our dogs and the joy we glean from the relationship we have with each one of them. Our blessings truly come from the opportunity we have in meeting and sharing our pups with others.
